Terminal Box / Terminal Cover

A cover secured by means of screws or bolts to protect the element terminals and connected wiring, and sometimes controls, from damage, environmental conditions, accidental contact. See IP Rating guide for further guidance required to select the most appropriate type for your application. 

For example TPFay FI Immersion Heaters have terminal covers rated as IP67, before this rating was externally tested and qualified our design criteria was to have the cover able to withstand complete immersion in 1 metre of water without ingress of water when correctly gasketed. This exceeds the qualified rating.
