Magnesium Oxide MgO

Magnesium oxide (MgO) is chosen for application in sheathed heating elements due to its particular combination of physical and chemical properties in that it offers exceptionally good electrical resistance together with high thermal conductivity. By varying the physical and chemical properties of the magnesia, powders can be produced with specific physical and electrical properties appropriate to individual applications, from simple water heating to the most advanced industrial applications.
